Metsäinen kätkö lähellä seurantaloa.
The cahce is located in a forest close to the “Metsäkylän maamiesseurantalo”, house of the Metsäkylä farmers’ society.
Seurantalot ovat aatteellisten yhdistysten kokoontumistiloikseen rakentamia taloja. Niitä ovat rakentaneet mm. työväenyhdistykset, nuoriso-, maamies-, raittius- ja urheiluseurat, suojeluskunnat, vapaapalokunnat sekä kotiseutu- ja marttayhdistykset.
Vanhimmat talot on rakennettu 1880-luvulla. Taloja on nykyisin kaikkiaan noin 2 500.
Kätköt kuuluvat Nastolan seurantaloja esittelevään sarjaan. Jokaisessa purkissa (ja lokikirjassa) on numerot, joiden avulla löytää sarjan viidennen purkin, joka esittelee uudemman näkemyksen yhden version seurantalosta, Nastolan nuorisotalon ”Nuokun”.
”Seurantalo” is something you will probably find in every Finnish village. They are society houses, built by different kinds of societies: worker’s unions, farmers’ societies, sports teams, political groups, village societies etc. The oldest of these buildings date back to the 1880’s. Many of them have been thoroughly renovated and are today used for many different purposes, e.g. wedding receptions.
This cache is part of a series introducing the “seurantalo”s (society houses) of Nastola. You will find a number in each cache (and in its log). With these numbers you will find a later version of “seurantalo”, Nastola’s youth activity house “Nuokku”.
Maamiesseurantalo on vuonna 1928 rakennettu ja se on säilynyt lähes alkuperäisessä asussaan.
This house was built in 1928. Its appearance has stayed almost the same throughout the years.
