La Regrippière étant territoire de frontière,les
passages du sel y étaient très surveillés par les gabelous. On sait
que les Bretons étaient exempts de cet impôt, mais les Angevins par
contre le payaient et ils cherchaient à s'en procurer par fraude.
Il y eut des luttes épiques, et même à cheval contre les
faux-sauniers et le poste de douaniers établi sur le bord du Champ
de Foire. Après un combat qui eu lieu à La Fleurancellerie, la
famille du rescapé fil plus tard élever une chapelle de
reconnaissance en l'honneur de la Vierge. Ce lieu témoigne des
luttes ardentes au sujet de la gabelle.

La Regrippière being the territory of border
crossings of salt were closely watched by tax collectors. It is
known that the Britons were exempt from this tax, but the cons by
Angevin paid and they sought to procure by fraud. There were epic
battles, and even on horseback against the salt smugglers and the
customs post established on the edge of the Champ de Foire. After a
fight which took place at The Fleurancellerie, the survivor's
family over later built a chapel of recognition in honor of the
Virgin. This place bears witness to the struggles ardent about the
salt tax.
