This puzzle cache will first, take you close to
an area alot of Cedar Falls kids hung out at on Friday and Saturday
nights. The floods of 2008 ended up being the straw that broke the
camels back for the Cedar Falls Roller Dome and it has now
closed down. Even the building has been removed.
Once you get to the first stage of this cache, you will find a small
metal box with two plastic sheets inside. The plastic sheets have some
scratches on them and the final coords for the cache are some how coded
within the scratches. Your job is to figure out how to read
the last 3 digits of the coords, off these plastic sheets. There is one
plastic sheet for the North coords and one for the West coords.
The first part of the North and West Coords are, N 42º 32.??? W 092º
26.???
Please take care not to add any new scratches to the sheets of plastic.
More hints will only be given on this page if needed so,
don't even try calling for more hints (Yes, This means you too, Joe!
LOL). I'm giving this cache a difficulty of 5 stars because
it will be hard for someone to find the secret if they have never seen
this before. I would like to keep this a difficulty of 5 stars so, once
you figure out how to read the coords PLEASE DO NOT SHARE!
The final is also in an area of Cedar Falls that was hit hard by the
floods of 2008. The city has now bought up most of the property in the
area and is restoring it back into praire.
The final is being held in place by part of something left over from
when houses were all over the place in this area.
