Ele030 - Zinc - (Elements Series) Traditional Geocache

Zinc is a metallic chemical element; it has the symbol Zn and has an atomic number of 30.  The atomic weight of zinc is 65.38. 

Things you might not know about Zinc:

1. The new U.S. Golden Dollar's golden color is made of manganese brass alloy which is 12% zinc, and has no gold at all.
2. Since 1982, the U.S. penny (one cent) is not solid copper, but is really zinc plated with copper.
3. Brass, which is an alloy of copper and zinc.
4. Galvanization, which is the coating of iron or steel to protect the metals against corrosion, is the most familiar form of using zinc in this way.
