A two stage multi cache in the Laurel Ledges Preserve on Cornwall Hill Road in the Carmel/Patterson area.
You will be following the yellow trail from the posted parking coordinates (below) to complete both stages of this cache. The first stage is a micro (film canister) which has the coordinates to the second and final stage. The final isn't to far from the first stage and you might be tempted to bushwhack but STAY TO THE TRAILS as nothing good will come if you try to climb from the first stage. The yellow trail breaks left at its junction with the orange trail (way point below) and does a few switch backs going up the hill. This is the way that you will want to go. There will be a short bushwhack at the end as the cache is not to far off of the trail. Please put both containers back in the same place that you found them and try not to over tighten the final container. This is a really nice area with quite a varying terrain and I believe it backs up to the Sterling Farm Preserve which has three caches in it Milkyway, Darkmoon Rising, and So long and thanks for the fish which aren't to far from the final stage of this cache. And while your here you might as well take A Stroll through Laurel Ledge also. As of 8/2/14 the trail from the posted parking coordinates is no longer under water and one can pass through this nice section of the preserve with very little problems. They either took care of there beaver problems or found someway to keep the water level at its normal level..hope it stays that way so all can enjoy this nice preserve
