A CACHE

1888

It’s the original construction year of this water storage structure, although some of the buildings appear to have been built later. Pay attention to the tank construction, of a large capacity, requiring the use of buttresses for the wall reinforcement.

We have adopted as sponsor for this cache Fernando Antonio Nogueira Pessoa, born in 1888, the day of St. Anthony (June 13) [holiday of Lisbon]. We highlight a testimony of this writer, that we subscribe with soul...

[There is a time when we must abandon the used clothes - that already have the shape of our body - and forget the way that lead us always to the same places ... It's the crossing time, and if we dare not do it, we have ever been outside of ourselves.]

Located in a crossroads, place almost mandatory for those who pass through the Capuchos zone, either walking or cycling, it won’t be a new sight for almost all the geocachers that frequently visit the Sintra Mountain, but we intended it wouldn’t stay unnoticed.

The cache is not in the structure, but is nearby...

Aquifer Note: If you need, with a short detour (between #37 and this cache), you can refill your supply of drinking water in the coordinates N 38° 46.986 -  W 009 ° 26.128 (entrance to the Capuchos Convent).
