Geocache Description:

Politigåden har flere andre gårde bl.a.

Cachen indeholdt fra starten følgende effekter: Logbog, blyant, 'First Finder Certificate', ballon, broche, papfigur, flyer, 'Livestrong'-armbånd.

UPDATE: nyt hint

Police HQ

Copenhagen Police Headquarters was designed by architect Hack Kampmann and built in 1918-1924 in a typical Neo Classicistic style. The building is known as the last Neo Classicist building in Northern Europe.

Today the building houses Copenhagen Police senior management and many special sections like the riot police and some invenstigation units.

From the outside the building looks stern and strict. One critic described it as a "visual fist". Inside, the design is monumental rather than minimalist.

The circular courtyard, open to the sky, is surrounded by pairs of columns - 44 pairs in all. The round courtyard is 1615 m2 and 44 meters in diameter. One of the other courtyards - the square courtyard is 537 m2. This courtyard contains a memorial for policeofficers killed in the line of duty or during 2nd world war.

The only decoration that can be seen from the outside is at the main entrance. The decoration is 2 large metal cages. On top of each cage a large spiked mace is mounted. The cages represent the pillory and the spiked mace represent the nightwatchman's wand.

On the inside the building is often described as a maze. Curved and straight hallways in different lengths makes it very difficult to keep sense of direction. Even employees who have been working in the building for years, find it difficult to find their way around.

The building is worth a visit. In the past some guided tours has been made around the building.

This cache contained from the beginning the following objects: Logbook, pencil, 'First Finders Certificate', balloon, a brooch, cardboard figure, a flyer and a 'Livestrong' Bracelet
