A CACHE
Gostámos do nome da Quinta da Agudinha, mesmo aqui ao lado, e assim ficou apadrinhada para o SPT. Esta zona é repleta de quintas, algumas com dedicação a culturas, outras à criação de animais e ainda outras que servem de casa de campo para os fins-de-semana.
É assim a vida no campo, cheia de fauna, flora e seus profundos odores.
Sabendo nós da existência da Ribeira da Agudinha, lá para os lados de Abrantes, ainda pensámos que os proprietários tivessem raízes pela zona e viessem de balão até Sintra, mas isto é mesmo só suposição. Das vezes que aqui passámos nunca pudemos tirar isto a limpo.
A descida continua, agora mais suave. Encontrámos um espacito que dá ares à nossa serra: arvoredo, sombra (em dias de sol) e até uns locais simpáticos para descansar as pernas, antes ou depois de procurarem a cache. Boa sorte.
AGUDINHA FARM
We love the name of the Agudinha Farm, located just next door, that so became sponsored by the SPT. This area is full of farms, some devoted to growing cultures, or to breeding livestock and some others even used as a cottage, for the week-ends.
That's life in the countryside, full of flora, fauna and their intense fragrances.
We know about the existence of the Agudinha creek, near the town of Abrantes, in the heart of the country. We thought that the farm’s owners might have family roots in that area and had come to Sintra by ballooning, but this is just a supposition. The time that we spent here was insufficient to confirm it.
The slope continues, now less steep. We found an aired corner of these hills, with trees, shades (on sunny days) and even a friendly place to rest your legs before or after seeking the cache. Good luck.
