You'll Get There... Eventually: NV Public Art #11 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Public Art: Sorry to pull the rug out from under anyone who is actively searching for this one. Due to some unforeseen changes, it has become necessary to retire this cache. I hope all who managed to find the container enjoyed the experience; for those who posted a DNF, my apologies. In spite of my efforts to simplify the situation, it proved to be a challenge to not only find but to maintain as well.

Take heart, though. The art pieces that make up the Eventually triptych will be featured in a brand new cache to be published soon.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the North Vancouver Public Art Geocache experience! How about a puzzle for a change of pace from the standard fare of this series? I hope you find it fun and entertaining.

Eventually is "a triptych of sculptures inhabiting three parks in North Vancouver. Over decades and centuries, growing trees and other natural forces will continue the sculptural form-making process that has been initiated at each site..."

As with all the Public Art caches, you will see some interesting art that has been placed on public land. The big difference here, of course, is that the cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates!! Purely by coincidence, these are the coordinates for a sign outside North Van District Hall but there is no reason whatsoever for you to go there. To solve this puzzle, there are three separate sites you must visit to gather the necessary info.

At each art site, there is a plaque explaining the series, but because all the plaques bear the same the images and text, locating your clues will require a little creativity.

The Artist - Adam Kuby: With a Master of Fine Arts in sculpture and a Bachelor of Arts in landscape design and environmental studies, much of Adam Kuby's work explores how man-made sculptures can be transformed to be more ecologically responsive and how the built environment can better co-exist with the natural. In addition to these 3 pieces, Kuby has also done public art projects in Calgary, Seattle, and Portland.

Please take the time to enjoy the art and comment of your favourite piece. Take some photos, post your comments and don't forget to tell me what you think is your favourite piece in this multi-cache.

As always have a great Geocache time and I hope you have a chance to visit the other public art locations around the North Shore.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.
