Après avoir fait mon arbre généalogique, je
m'aperçoit qu'un de mes aïeux est né et a vécu au village
d'Aurelle. Je me lance sur ses traces, la découverte est grandiose
et émotionnelle!!!
Centre de l'ancienne terre, le village d'Aurelle est abandonné
depuis 1948 . Aurelle reste le lieu sanctuaire le plus
représentatif du haut Rouergue. Ici même, une civilisation rurale
venant du fond des âges disparaît et s'efface de nos mémoires .
Cette rencontre avec ce village, ses pierres pourtant si proche, a
quelque chose de magique. A Aurelle, on devient tout autre .
Aurelle a une âme, on colle tout de suite à l'ambiance quasi
mystique de cette ruralité à fleur de peau. Difficile de ne pas
imaginer un instant la cuisson collective du pain dans le four du
village, aller rendre visite au meunier dans son moulin à roue
encore en état à une centaine de mètres, voir entrer et sortir
quelques dévots de l'antique chapelle, de quelques jardiniers
s'affairant au centre du village, de linges étendus, d'enfants
jouant prêt de la fontaine. La chapelle bâtie en 1385, a été
inscrite à l'inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques en
1978, a été récemment restaurée grâce à quelques bénévoles
regroupés en association et le soutien de Sauvegarde de l'art
Français, et le concours technique des compagnons du Devoir du tour
de France.
Pourquoi Aurelle a été fuit des hommes? on peut évoquer l'absence
de route, seuls 2 petits sentiers permettent d'y aller, l'absence
aussi de grands tènements herbeux pour faire face à l'évolution du
monde, même si les châtaigners sont omni présents, de plus, bon
nombre d'habitants sont partis en Argentine . A noter aussi que la
fée électricité n'est pas arrivée jusque là.
La distance du parking pour vous rendre au village
D'aurelle est de 2,8 km aller et retour, avec un peu de dénivelé.
Du parking prendre directement le petit chemin qui descend, vous
traversez le ruisseau du Mandialou sur une petite passerelle en
bois, juste aprés, au croisement rester sur la chemin de gauche qui
vous méne au village.
