PT: A Barragem da Bravura, construída em 1958, pertence à bacia hidrográfica das ribeiras do Barlavento Algarvio, abarcando parte da bacia hidrográfica da ribeira de Odiáxere.
Esta albufeira situa-se na zona sul da serra de Espinhaço de Cão, na fronteira entre a zona serrana algarvia e a bacia sedimentar do Barlavento, e é partilhada pelas freguesias de Bensafrim, no município de Lagos, e Marmelete, no município de Monchique.
A barragem, com 41 m de altura e construída na ribeira de Odiáxere, apresenta uma área inundada de cerca de 285 ha e encontra-se classificada como albufeira de águas públicas protegida.
Uma das mais bonitas barragens do Algarve, que gosto de admirar, aproveitando para ir vendo como estamos de água.

EN: The Bravura Dam, built in 1958, belongs to the watershed of the streams in the western Algarve, receiving part of the Odiáxere stream.
This reservoir is located in the southern hills of Espinhaço de Cão on the border between the Algarve mountain area and the sedimentary basin of the Western Algarve. It is shared by the parishes of Bensafrim in the town of Lagos, and Marmelete in the village of Monchique.
The 41 meters high dam built in Odiáxere stream shows a flooded area of about 285 ha and is classified as a protected reservoir of public waters.
It is one of the most beautiful dams in the Algarve. I like to admire it while checking the water levels.
