Esta cache mostra-vos um dos mais belos locais do concelho de Penacova.
This cache will show you one of the most beautiful places of Penacova.
Serra da Atalhada:
Na freguesia de Friúmes, no cume da Serra da Atalhada, ergue-se um complexo turístico, composto por um conjunto de 23 moinhos de vento, um bar e um restaurante.
Não se sabe ao certo o ano de construção dos moinhos, mas sabe-se que são muito antigos. Quando foram abandonados pelos moleiros, os moinhos foram-se degradando, atingindo alguns um estado de ruínas total. Pela mão do Centro de Convívio do Zagalho e Vale do Conde, e com apoio do Município de Penacova e do IPJ, os moinhos foram adaptados a Turismo Rural.
Este é um local paradisíaco, propício ao romantismo, excelente para passeios na natureza, desde a serra até às margens dos rios Alva ou Mondego, passando e descobrindo as culturas e tradições das populações envolventes. Mountain Range of Atalhada:
In the parish of Friúmes, on the summit of the Mountain Range of Atalhada, stands a tourist complex consisting on a set of 23 windmills, a bar and a restaurant.
No one knows for sure the year of the construction of the windmills, but it is known that they are very old. When they were abandoned by the millers, the windmills degrade slowly, some reaching a state of total ruin. By the hands of the "Centro de Convívio do Zagalho e Vale do Conde" an association, and with the support of the Municipality of Penacova and Portuguese Youth Institute, the windmills were adapted to Rural Tourism.
This is a heavenly place, propitious to romance, great for nature walks, from the mountains to the banks of the rivers Mondego and Alva, passing and discovering the culture and traditions of the surrounding populations. Currently, the complex is managed by the Group of Social Solidarity, Sport, Culture and Recreation of Miro. You can see more information neste site.
