The Ridgecrest Geocachers present World Wide Flash Mob

Where: Ridgecrest, CA ---Pearson Park
When: June 4th, 2011
Time: 10am-10:15am
A "Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers. is only 15 minutes long! You
MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the
event.
A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a
public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and
then quickly disperse.
FLASH MOBS have gathered for other reasons. Come be part of this
historic event!
Hundreds of events all around the world
Thousands of geocachers participating
Coordinated to happen at the same time
To bring together geocachers for a fun and unique even
To introduce others (muggles) to the fun of geocaching
These events will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not one second
longer.
Tell your friends and help promote the event!
There may be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I
just see? What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!)

countries
WWFM III – May 2008 – almost 8000 attendees at 163
events in 15 countries
WWFM IV – Nov 2008 – 7400 people at 154 events in 20
countries
WWFM V – May 2009 – over 7000 people at 154 events in
20 countries
WWFM VI – Nov 2009 – almost 7000 people at 152 events
in 21 countries
WWFM VII – May 2010 – almost 6000 people at 139 events
in 19 countries
The Plan
9:45-9:59am:Walk
around like you don’t know anybody in the general area of
GZ
10:00: A horn will sound and an white bucket
will be placed at GZ, everybody meet up at the bucket and look up
and point in the sky
10:01: Grab a log
10:02:
Group meal (Hope you’re not hungry)
10:03: Swap trackables (if you have them) and
the standard geo talk
10:09: Place all signed log sheets in the bucket
by this time
10:10: Group photo
10:13: Drawing to give out WWFM VIII Geocoin and
Tags
10:14: Prepare to leave the area in a
flash.
10:15: Leave the park like nothing happened, and
please don’t stay.
If you log this event within 2 weeks after the event, you will get
a souvenir on your Geocaching profile!!!!
