CITO Karosta, Liepaja
Cito pasakuma vieta - Karosta, ir zinama gan Latvijas robežas gan arpus tam. Reiz Karosta bija militara pilsetina - pilseta pilseta, kura darbojas autonomi no parejas Liepajas pilsetas.

In few words about CITO event
CITO is a shorten name for Cache in trash out and it is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. CITO in Karosta,Liepaja
Karosta is a very well known place in Latvia and in abroad as well. Once it was a military town, like a town in town. Karosta was seperated from the rest territory of Liepaja and it was self-powered with all necessary services. The population in Karosta is about 8 thousand inhabitants, but once Karosta was a busy town with more that 25 thousand inhabitants - soldiers with their families.

Karosta is slowly waking up from soviet times and You can see abandoned houses, ruined buildings, old wall structures on every corner. Karosta hides many secrets under and above the ground. Despite the fact that Karosta is not an atractive tourism place, anyway poeple like to come here. This place is a wonderful spot for walking, bicycle riding and other activities.
But the main problem is that people love to go for a picknicks, but after the picknick mostly they leave all their trash on the ground, so we - geocachers from Liepaja - decided to make CITO event in Karosta and clean up that mess.

We would like to say a big thank You to all participants and thank You for attending this CITO event.
Organiozators of the event: Blackpanda (Rihards and Inese), Wellstar (Gunars and Signe), Kiki&Sash (Kristine and Aleksandrs).
