LAT : Dzelzcela linija Gulbene - Aluksne ir
šaursliežu 750 mm platuma dzelzcelš, kas savieno
Gulbenes un Aluksnes pilsetas. Ši ir vieniga
šaursliežu dzelzcela linija Baltijas valstis, kura
notiek pasažieru parvadajumi. Musdienas liniju apsaimnieko SIA
"Gulbenes-Aluksnes banitis". Linijas pirmsakumi meklejami 1903.
gada, kad tika uzsakta dzelzcela linijas Plavinas - Valka
buvnieciba. Posms no Plavinam lidz Gulbenei 1915.-1916. gada tika
parveidots par platsliežu dzelzcela liniju. Ta ka kara laika
šaja regiona notika aktiva karadarbiba, dzelzcelš
nopietni cieta. Vilcienu kustibu 1920. gada 15. marta atjaunoja
posma Gulbene-Aluksne, 1921. gada 6. septembri tika atjaunota
satiksme ari posma lidz Valkai. Ari 2. pasaules karš nesa
zaudejumus un postijumus Latvijas dzelzcelam. Pec kara tika
atjaunota satiksme no Gulbenes lidz Apei, velak ari lidz Valgai, jo
Valka dzelzcela mezglu neatjaunoja. 1970. gada sledza posmu no Apes
lidz Valgai, bet 1973. gada ari no Apes lidz Aluksnei. 1984. gada
atlikušajam dzelzcela posmam tika pieškirts tehnikas
pieminekla statuss.
ENG : Narrow gate Gulbene – Aluksne railroad . It is the only
public narrow-gauge railway in the Baltics (the width of the gauge
is 750 mm). A 33-kilometer-long section remains of the narrow-gauge
Stukmani-Valka railway launched in 1903. Banitis (from German Bahn
– railroad) is the only railroad in Latvia that was
recognized as a cultural monument of national significance.
Passenger traffic from one regional centre to the other operates on
a daily basis. Three pairs of trains per day go back and forth
along this route. In June, 2005 the restoration of the narrow gauge
railway engine Kc-4-332 leased from the Estonian railroad museum in
Lavasaare was completed.
