La Plana de Guissona, situada al centre de Catalunya, forma un paisatge unitari curiosament modelat per marges, cabanes i pallisses. L'important aqüífer que la nodreix l'ha donat a conèixer com a "doll de la Segarra". Així doncs, Guissona està envoltada per un conjunt important de fonts naturals.
