This cache is placed to honor the life and works of F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940), the American writer most closely identified with the "Jazz Age," and whose most famous work is "The Great Gatsby."
A son of St. Paul, Minnesota, Fitzgerald grew up in a modest home on Summit Avenue, close to the mansions of James J. Hill and others. The excesses of the 1920s and the relentless pursuit of the American Dream is best exemplified in "The Great Gatsby," which is still one of the most-read books in American high schools.
This park and grab cache, hidden on the southeast side of Jorissen Road, is located on public land owned by the City of Minnetonka.
The land on the northwest side of the road is privately owned. Across the wetland to the northwest you'll spy the Three Rivers Parks Regional Trail.
You'll enjoy a surprisingly quiet experience here!
