Hitchhiker's Guide - Shrub Oak Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

BriGuyNY: Sending this one to the archives. Seems that the hiding spot is now compromised, so instead of throwing more containers at it, I've decided to let it go. Maybe someone more local will figure out something fun to do here at this old P&R. Thanks to all who logged and enjoyed over the years.

Geocache Description:

A new series I'm creating called "Hitchhiker's Guide" which can be placed by anyone anywhere within a P&R or a location one would leave their vehicle to hitch a ride along a highway. Traditionally, a "JOE" cache would work here, but not having exit numbers (as many highways in this area do not), this series should go by town names instead.

The idea came to me when I recently left my car here to meet some caching friends from upstate and guide them through NYC. I hitched a ride with them that day, and since the Taconic can get a bit "ho hum" (you know what I mean) I decided to come back and add this quick cache for all those who pass through, whether you are hitching or not.

The original container was a unique race car tin. Someone stole it and left the log in a plastic bag, which was later chewed on by rodents. This cache was replaced on 2/2/13 with something a little different, so I added a hint.

Thanks, and happy caching!
