To reach the rank of Eagle Scout, the scout must achieve 21 Merit
Badges and complete an extensive service project that he must plan,
organize, lead and manage. On average, each Scout conducts about
167 service hours towards the project.
An Eagle Scout from Troop 312 did a complete inventory of all
cemetary records dating back to the late 1800's for St. Paul United
Methodist Church of Christ in Delano. This Eagle Scout took
pictures of all the headstones and gathered all the records. All
this data was organized using an inexpensive software program and a
book with alphabetical listings and maps of the cemetery was put
together. A waterproof box was installed at the cemetary that
contains the maps and records.
This is the second in a series highlighting Eagle Projects in
the
Crow River District.
Each of the twelve "Cache to Eagle" series caches have a
designated
code word associated with the cache. The code word will be
within
the cache (such as written on the logbook or taped to the lid).
The
code word is one of the twelve points of the Scout Law.
The first 3 Scouts who find all twelve "Cache to Eagle" caches
for
the Crow River District, and emails a listing of all the
codewords
and associated Cache No's to me will receive a "Cache to
Eagle"
Scout patch.
CONGRATULATIONS TO RACETTES! THEY WERE THE FIRST TO COMPLETE THE
SERIES AND WON THE CACHE TO EAGLE GEOCOIN
