How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The best of Morecambe Bay coastline where on a warm sunny day you can imagine that you are in the Mediterranean. The cache forms a coastal trio with Polly On The Shore and Expletive Delighted, all of which have been placed with the more adventurous cacher in mind.

The approach to the cache is tidal and only accessible for a period either side of low water.SO PLEASE CHECK THE TIDE TABLES when you plan your visit.

The character of the beach changes with time .What was a sloping shingle beach in early 2014 is ,for the moment at least, now covered by wet sand that doesn't fully dry out between tides.

Take care on the rock steps up to the cache site.

The screw top container in it's camo bag should sit snugly down in the small hollow just inside the lower lip of the hidey hole. Please reseat the larger flat rock cover carefully so as not to crush the container ,with the smaller cover rock on top to complete the hide and protect it from storms and high waves. Please don't create a random rock pile. NO LAZY RE-HIDES PLEASE And no additional hints or spoilers in the logs.THANK YOU!
