Lestkovsky rybnik
V lete se u rybnika da koupat a lezet napriklad na male pisecne plazicce ci obdivovat klidnou prirodu v okoli. V zime je mozne zase bruslit.
Okoli rybnika je idealni na prespani ve stanu, piknik ci kratkou prochazku. Muzete si s sebou vzit i prut - v rybnice se nachazi nekolik ryb a pred par lety tam byli spatreni i raci.
Jeste nedavno na prvni pohled prekvapila ze dreva postavena rampa pro skoky do vody. Tato stavba (viz obrazek nize) byla nedavno zborena a okoli rybniku je opet pouze prirodni. K rybniku se da dojet i vasim autem a zaparkovat primo u nej na souradnicich waypointu.

Vesnice Lestkov, u ktere se rybnik nachazi, je od roku 1960 sloucena s vesnicemi Volavec, Kozakov a Kvitkovice do jedne obce zvane Radostna pod Kozakovem.
Nazev obce Radostna pod Kozakovem byl vybran podle pramene studanky Radostna, ktera se nachazi na jihozapadni strane Kozakova v cca 600 m.n.m (souvisejici cache: Radostna studanka). Tento pramen zasobuje obec velmi kvalitni pitnou vodou.
"Kdy tato a kym zalozena byla neni presne znamo, tato rozklada se pod vrchem Kozakovem v malebne krajine jiz od zapadni k vychodni strane vede okresni silnice od Turnova k Lomnici nad Popelkou neb Semilum."

Tenkrat na vojnu verbovali a musil tam byti 12-14 roku, kdys prisel domu byl vyslouzilec pro strach v obci, byl surovy, kazda matka musela plakati."

Lestkov Pond
In summer, it's possible to go bathing there and lie down on small sand area or just to admire relaxing nature at pound surrounding. In winter, you can try ice-skating there.
Surrounding of the pound is suitable for spending night in tent, picnic or short walk. You can take a fishing rod with you - there are fishes in pond and also crayfishes were seen there.
Wooden ramp for jumping into water is history now - it was disassembled in recent days. You can get to the pond by your car and park on waypoint.

Interesting facts about Lestkov:
Lestkov village, where pond is located, is since 1960 merged with other villages Volavec, Kozakov, Kvitkovice into one called Radostna pod Kozakovem.
Name Radostna pod Kozakovem has been chosen according to the spring of well Radostna, which is located on the southwestern side of Kozakov hill at altitude 600 m above sea level (related cache: Radostna studanka). This spring provides village a fresh high quality water.
"When and by whom was founded is not exactly known, it's located under the Kozakov hill in picturesque landscape, through which from western to eastern side runs the road from Turnov to Lomnice nad Popelkou or Semily."
This quotation comes from firsts pages of Lestkov chronicle preserved since 1914 until nowadays. It precisely depicts the location and wonderful nature surroundings of Lestkov village and pond.
Exact date of village foundation isn't known though, nevertheless from other Lestkov chronicles first remarks about Lestkov lies in 17th century: "1654 - Population after the Thirty Years'War - in Tatobity 33 houses, in Lestkov 13, Kozakov 11. During that time they used to recruiting, 12-14 years spent there, when as veterans home returned, they rude were, each mother used to cry. "
