Geocache Description:

One of a series of three caches (Coton Past, Coton Present, Coton Future) at Coton Countryside Reserve. The land is owned by Cambridge Past Present and Future (formerly Cambridge Preservation Society), which also owns Wandlebury Country Park, home of Wandlebury Past, Wandlebury Present and Wandlebury Future caches.

Coton Countryside Reserve webpage: (visit link) Placed in consultation with CPPF rangers.

The reserve is easy to reach on foot or bike from West Cambridge site.

Free car parking at Martin Car Park at N52o12.022 E000o04.022. Car Park opening hours: January 0900 – 1530; February 0900 – 1630; March – October 0900 – 1800; November 0900 – 1600; December 0900 – 1530. Gates are locked at closing time and if your vehicle is inside, it might not be released until next morning. Alternatively, park in Coton village. Please do not park in gateways. Bike parking is much closer than car park.

Free guide leaflets with map are usually available from rack in covered noticeboards, one at northern end of spine route (concrete track for bikes etc) and the other in Martin Car Park - will be helpful if you continue into reserve to find others in Coton Past, Present & Future series.

Coton Future is situated in a patch of established woodland, beside a patch of newly planted trees. Please enter woodland from the newly planted trees, NOT over fence from tarmac foot / cycle path. Cache is a 2litre plastic box. Please ensure that the box is covered with sticks when you leave.
