West Parley All Saints' is a 12th century village church set near the river Avon. It was built using some of the materials from the earlier Saxon church that was on this site. The porch dates from the 14th century but the doorway is possibly the original Saxon doorway. Inside there are two fonts, one on top of the other. The lower font is from around AD1100 and the upper font is from around AD1400. If you walk clockwise around the outside of the church you will find an urn set in to the east wall behind a grill. Until 1896 the urn, which is said to have contained the heart of the Lady of Lydlinch who endowed to the church, lay underneath the stone it now rests on.
There is enough parking near the church for a couple of cars and the cache is not far away. Unfortunately access to the church grounds to get the information is not wheelchair friendly. The cache is near to a busy road so please keep an eye on any little ones you have with you.
