Instructions: The coordinates take you to the Eagle Project site. Climb the staircase and stand at the center, facing the water. If the floor was a clock face and you are facing noon, turn to the time that equals the number of steps up you just climbed. In that approximate direction, you'll see some stairs at the end of a stone path. Climb all the stairs, turn right & follow the paved path. Always take the right path at an intersection. Follow the path until it dead-ends at more stairs. Climb all the stairs and follow the slate path, pass a giant bush on your left, then on your right. Past the giant bushes, look around for a bench that is unique in this park. Stand at the unique bench, facing the hearts, turn right and walk until you cannot walk anymore, then turn right again and walk until you cannot walk anymore. You’ll find the cache in a likely hiding spot. PLEASE BE STEALTHY AND REHIDE THE CACHE WELL! Use the natural camo.
Parking: Parking should not be a problem during the off-season months but is fairly restrictive Memorial Day to Labor Day. You can park across the street from the park if it’s not Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, or park a block away or so other times. You could also park at the yacht club entrance and use their walk in gate. Park signs say it closes at dusk.
This cache is part of a nationwide geocaching series called "Cache to Eagle" that showcases these special contributions. Revitalizing and enhancing the Morgan Park Gazebo was the Eagle Project of Matthew B. from Troop 6 in Glen Cove. With the help of fellow Scouts, and contributions from local Masonary, Painting & Landscape contractors, they repaired the cement, repainted, and planted new perennials, evergreens & annuals, as well as donating a new park bench. You are looking for a small lock-n-lock container that has a stamp for letterboxers & and logbook for both geocachers and letterboxers. Sign or stamp as appropriate. DON'T TAKE THE STAMP!

Over its first 100 years, Scouting has provided millions of hours of service to communities across America. For our 100th Anniversary, we’re celebrating that legacy with special service opportunities through "A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference." You can join us, and even earn a commemorative patch! Visit Scouting.org/about/factsheets/100_years to learn more.
THIS IS OPTIONAL!
IT’S OPEN TO ALL GEOCACHERS –NOT JUST SCOUTS!
This is just one of twelve caches in the "Cache to Eagle" series that are placed by the Theodore Roosevelt Council. Each cache contains a keyword. Write down the keyword on the inside cover of the log book. When you have the keywords from all twelve "TRC, Cache to Eagle" caches, send an email to get your patch. While supplies last.
