Geocache Description:

The Nenggao Cross-ridge Historic Trail runs east-west over the main ridge of Central Mountain Range.

Click photo to enlarge.
Section west from Tunyuan to Tianchi Lodge (13.1km) is an easy and popular hiking trail, however, section east from "Spread light across the land" stele to Chilai Line Station (13km) is not in popular demand and more difficult than section west.

Panshih Line Station (The old name is Banbian Police post) is a Japanese style cypress structure, you can reach here by Nenggao Cross-ridge Historic Trail from section west in Tunyung, or drive here from Hualien by east side of province road No. #14. The road is narrow and steep, not in good condition, a little bit not friendly to sedan but still no problem, 4x4 is recommend.

You can direct see the "Spread light across the land" stele on the ridge by your eyesight here if the weather is good.

Warning:
1) To apply the document first in Tongmen Police Station (N23 57.925 E121 29.676) before if you come from Hualien by province road No. #14.

2) DO NOT keep drive go ahead if you come by a sedan from Hualien, the road is very bad that you can not imaging, you may blocked by the road condition.
