Dolmens du bois de la Jasse

Ces mégalithes sont situés tout près de la carrière du ''Grand Autas'' dans le bois de Valène ce sont des tombes créées en pierres calcaires (karst) par les occupants du néolithique. Ils sont typiques de cette région du nord de l'Hérault.
Du dolmen N°1 il ne reste que la dalle du fond et le couloir est relativement visible, au vu de son emplacement c'est un miracle qu'il soit encore là.
Le dolmen N° 2 à un tumulus bien visible, la dalle du fond est présente celle des côtés on été réduite surement par l'érosion, le couloir est bien visible. Ce dolmen a été dégagé de la végétation il y a peu de temps.
Conseil : De préférence y aller le week-end ou le vendredi après-midi car la carrière génère de fortes poussières suite au concassage des pierres ou y aller quand il y a du vent du nord ou d'ouest.
Cache : Ancien pot de confiture en verre.
Mis : Petites babioles.

These megaliths are located near the quarry ''Grand Autas'' in the wood of Valène. Graves were built in limestone (karst) by the occupants of the Neolithic. They are typical of the northern region of Herault.
N° 1 dolmen remains only the bottom slab and the corridor is relatively visible, given its location it is a miracle he is still there.
N° 2 dolmen with a visible mound, the bottom slab is present the sides have been reduced probably by erosion, the corridor is clearly visible. This dolmen has been cleared of vegetation there is little time.
Advice : Preferably go on weekends or Friday afternoon because the quarry creates heavy dust following the crushing of rocks or go when it's windy north or west.
WARNING : Especially during hunting season, do not go there if there is a boar beat, or so I very strongly advise you to wear a bell and a bright yellow outer vests.
