Geocache Description:

Small box containing log book with space for swops.

The first of a series of caches celebrating the different Scout Groups that make up Stockport District. 239th Manchester is the newest additon to Stockport District joining Stockport District when the boundaries between Districts changed in 2008. The Group comprises of Beaver Scouts 6 - 8 years old, Cub Scouts 8 - 101/2 years old and Scouts 101/2 - 141/2. The group was formed in 1916 and may be distinguished by their neckers which are yellow with a black border.

The cache is fully accessible from the pavement please beware of muggles as this is an urban location with lots of passers by. Parking is available and is also accessible by public transport being on the 192 bus route from Stockport to Manchester.
