Este cache tradicional vai levar-te à Ria de Alvor, junto à vila da Mexilhoeira Grande. O cache está localizado perto da Cruzinha, centro de estudos de A Rocha, Portugal.
A Rocha é uma organização cristã para a protecção e defesa do ambiente.
O estuário da Ria de Alvor situa-se no Algarve, Portugal, entre as cidades de Lagos e Portimão. Os seus 1700 hectares compreendem uma zona de estuário, dunas, sapal e salinas, e também as penínsulas da Quinta de Rocha e Abicada, com os seus habitats mistos de floresta mediterrânica e terreno agrícola.
Foi designada Natura 2000 devido à presença de espécies e habitats protegidos pela legislação europeia.
Juntamente com muitas outras organizações mundiais, a equipa da A Rocha reconhece que as suas crenças, em relação ao mundo natural, estão na base do tratamento que conferem ao ambiente e o objectivo de estudar e cuidar da Ria de Alvor.
Todas as quintas-feiras, por volta das 10 horas (mesmo em dias feriados!), a equipa da A Rocha abre as portas do Centro, ficando ao dispor daqueles que desejem aprender mais acerca do trabalho de A Rocha, em Portugal e no mundo.

This cache is a traditional cache, taking you on a walk down to the Ria de Alvor, near the village of Mexilhoeira Grande. The cache is located near Cruzinha, a field study centre for A Rocha, Portugal.
A Rocha is a Christian nature conservation organization, the name coming from the Portuguese for “the Rock.”
The Ria de Alvor (Alvor Estuary) is situated in the Algarve, Portugal, between the towns of Lagos and Portimão. Its 1700 hectares comprise the estuary, dunes, marshes and salt-pans, as well as the Quinta da Rocha and Abicada peninsulas with their mixed habitats of brushwood, forest and agricultural land.
It was designated a Natura 2000 site due to the presence of species and habitats that are a European priority.
Together with many conservation organisations world-wide, the team at A Rocha recognise that our beliefs about the natural world lie behind the way we treat the environment and aim to study and look after the Alvor Estuary.
At around 10am every Thursday (even Bank Holidays!) the A Rocha team open the doors of the Field Study Centre and make themselves available to anyone who wishes to learn more about the work of A Rocha both in Portugal and internationally.
We recommend heading out to find the cache on a Thursday and paying a visit to the centre, and also the estuary itself - an area of amazing wildlife and natural beauty.
