Geocache Description:

The Wells Wander is a 6 mile circular walk between Market Bosworth and Sutton Cheney, which is being released in stages. There are places to eat and drink at either end of the walk and it hopefully offers a nice mix of hides and challenges. The walk comprises a quiet gated metalled road and the Leicestershire Round footpath.

Welcome to Bosworth Country Park. The park is a landscaped 35-hectare area which was formerly part of Bosworth Hall deer parkland. There are mature trees, lakes, an arboretum, butterfly garden, a wildflower meadow, play area, bird feeding area, large open spaces for kite flying / ball games and provision for coarse fishing. During good weather, there is often an ice cream van situated near the car park (N52 37.496, W001 23.636). There is a daily fee for the car park of £1.50, payable at the barrier on arrival.

The network of paths in the park has recently been improved for wheelchairs and pushchairs from the car park to the lake. Access to this cache does however, require travel over short grass and is not accessible to wheel chair users.

The cache is in the vicinity of the bird feeding area created by Bosworth Youth Rangers (2007/8). If you are intending on continuing our series (Oak Ring) out of the park along the leicestershire round Do Not take the path that heads southwards from here - head left back into the woods with bird station on your left and rather fine giant redwoods on your right. Pass through the kissing gate on the left which is waymarked as the Leicestershire Round.

The cache is a small bison tube.

PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE THE CACHE WELL AND IT STAYS WHERE IT SHOULD BE
