La grotte de Lavencou est situèe au fond du cirque de Saint Geniez de Bertrand. C'est une petite rivière souterraine. Le jour de la pose de la boîte elle était à sec mais elle peut couler à flot par forte pluie. Pour l'atteindre, contourner le cirque par la gauche, on peut se garer pas très loin de la grotte. Les coordonnées sont celles de l'entrée de la grotte. La lumière du jour pénètre jusqu'à la cache mais une lampe est indispensable, le casque est recommandé. On peut faire à pied le tour du cirque, mais attention au passage dangereux au niveau de l'éboulement 1992. Dans ce cas garez-vous au niveau de la grange moderne au pied du village et prenez la route par la droite ou par la gauche.
