Karlsvognen - Big Dipper (Ursa Major)
Dansk
Fakta

Facts
The Big Dipper (aka the Plough or Saptarshi), which is a part of (Ursa Major), consists of 8 big stars. Since the Big Dipper is part of the Great Bear, is not an official constellation, but an asterism (asterism is the term for a pattern of stars). When you look at the Big Dipper, you only see 7 stars - it is because Mizar and Alcor B is a double star. Alcor B was discovered recently (in 2009).

One light-year is the distance light travels in one year (speed of light: 186,000 miles/sec.), which is approx. 5,878,625,373,183.608 miles. |
As a child, I often vent out to look at the stars, and since I always wanted to find the Big Dipper, my father told me, that I should look for the number 5, but inverted.
Back then I couldn't know that I would one day become a geocacher and that there exist coordinates among the stars.
You need to go thru 6 waypoints before you reach Final Coordinate.
Things you may need on your way: Tweezers, mirror, magnifying glass, BeeTagg, flashlight (this is not a night cache).
To find the different waypoints, you need to move among trees and bushes. Please avoid damaging the vegetation, and if you move something, then place it back as you found it .
I still often look at the stars, but now it is together with Mrs. Webmekka, and we know there are more coordinates up in the stars, but we just haven't found them yet.
