Geocache Description:

The first documented evidence of a Church goes back to 1070, in a Charter of William the Conqueror, giving the Church to the Abbey of St Augustine at Canterbury – only four years after William’s invasion. The Church is huge and has many interesting features inside and out such as the spire and painted column. The church community is very active and has an excellent webpage. This is a cache and dash but if you have time please visit the interior which is open during the day until 5pm. Please bring a pencil for the log. If anyone would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you let sadexploration know first so he can keep track to avoid duplication.
