Located in a small park next to the Harrisburg library and ball fields. Can be busy on the weekends. Park hours are 6am-9pm.
The contents inside the ammo box are a log book and pen,camera for taking pictures of cachers and first aid kit.
I personally add geoswag to the cache once a month.
I went to the army/navy store to purchase an ammo box for my next cache. While at the store I noticed they sold Boy Scout books and gear. Having earned my eagle scout badge lets say a long time ago I looked to see what has changed over the years. This is when I got the idea for a geocache merit badge cache.
The finding of the cache will help a Boy Scout earn credit towards the geocaching merit badge. If a boy scout would like a un-activated travel bug to use towards obtaining the merit badge email me thru geocaching.com with the following.
1) Date of the find and your geocaching name.
2) Your scout troop and the rank you are working on.
3) Your name and shipping address.
To earn credit for finding the cache there are couple of rules when logging the find on geocaching.com. For those cachers who never hidden a cache you will understand these rules when you hide your first cache.
1) Cannot just post TFTC!. Must include a sentence. This also includes when using a smart phone.
2) No copying and pasting for example "On a caching run with boogie woogie picking up caches in the area. TFTC".
