This cache is part of a series of presidential caches.
These caches will come in a variety of sizes, difficulties and terrains. They will be placed all across the area. Hopefully everyone will enjoy finding them.
Andrew Johnson was the seventeenth U.S. president. He was born on December 29, 1808 in North Carolina. He grew up in a tiny house, and began working when he was about 12 years old. Johnson had no formal education. He died on July 31, 1875. He was president from April 15, 1865 when he took over for the assassinated Abraham Lincoln. He left office on March 4, 1869. He was affiliated with the Democratic party. There were two attempts to remove Johnson from office. The first attempt failed in the House of Representatives. The second attempt resulted in an impeachment by the House of Representatives, but the Senate failed to convict in a very close vote. It was actually 35 guilty and 19 not guilty. The senate requires a 2/3 majority, so he was acquitted. If one senator changed his vote from not guilty to guilty it would have resulted in a conviction. This was the first impeachment proceeding in history.
This could be a fairly tough find for some people, but experienced cachers will probably get this one pretty easily. The cache should be accessable in the winter. Be careful where you park.
The cache is a little further away from Erie than most of them in this series. Maybe someone else will have a shot at FTF. Good luck.
