Bunjil: I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:

             - Cache Owner unable to maintain cache 
             - No response from the cache owner.
             - No cache to find or log to sign.

             - Cache has been abandoned by cache owner

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Geocache Description:


Walwa (Aboriginal for "a place of waters"), is a town in the Shire of Towong in north east Victoria, Australia. The town is located 1 kilometre from the Murray River on the former Murray Valley highway between Wodonga and Corryong. At the 2006 census, Walwa and the surrounding area had a population of 268.
Across the river on the New South Wales side are the nearby towns of Jingellic and Tumbarumba.

A Post Office first opened on 1 March 1861 and closed in 1865. A Post Office again opened on 1 December 1885, although known as Walwa Creek from 1886 until 1905.

Pine Mountain a few kilometres out of Walwa, located in the Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park is the largest monolith in the southern hemisphere at 1.5 times the size of Uluru (Ayres Rock).

Walwa includes a Medical Centre, the Walwa Pub, Upper Murray Holiday Resort, Riverside Caravan Park, Tennis Courts and a Football/Netball Club, Walwa Primary School, Jemba Rock Crafts and Gifts, a B&B, Country Tractor Service, Veterinary Clinic, Panel Beaters, Radio station (Radio Upper Murray RUM).

The town has an Australian rules football team competing in the Upper Murray Football League known as the Border Walwa Magpies.
