This cache is dedicated to Jewel, my Australian shepherd. She
loved to run and chase. You will find her picture inside of the
cache. She had a lovely face and a white mark on one of her
eyes.
We put the cache in the dog park also because we love to come
here with our dogs too. This cache also wants to promote one of the
two dog parks in the Riley County area. The other one is in the
Tuttle Creek Park Area.
We like to keep the theme of this cache K-9 related. Inside you
will find all sort of chewing toys, stuffed animals, squeaky rubber
balls, retrieving tennis balls. Please trade only dog toys and dogs
related swag.
Geocachers please only use the log book provided to log your
find if you don't have a stamp. If you log caches with a stamp
please be welcome to use the letterbox stamp book.
In a different ziplock bag we have provided a dog paw stamp, an
ink pad and a special white pages journal for the letterbox to
collect stamps from visitors.
Fairmont Park is a unique riverfront site with abundant natural
habitat, wide open spaces, and large trees. When fully
developed, the park will be an invaluable asset which will allow
the community to embrace the river and enjoy the recreational
benefits such a park can offer.
