Last storm (Dec 2010) pushed the rock bridge remain even deeper into the creek.
Years ago, the water was going through the soil, under the trail. About 4 ears ago, the wash got wider and trail collapsed into it. Rangers built a rocky wall with pipes in it for water to pass. Immediately I knew it will not hold to the next flash flood. About 2 years ago the rain runoff broke it and carried the structure into the main stream. On west side there are still some remains, which actually make a nice ramp to go up and down on that side. This is also a starting point to go up the wash to find another two caches (whoop and snake den).
The cache is a little downstream from where bridge used to be. It is safe from water. There is a hootwheel red bus for FTF, just beside the cache.
Congrats to bfGigEm07 on FTF!! man you R fast!!
