A cache está localizada junto ao Miradouro da Meia Encosta.
O Miradouro da Meia Encosta localiza-se na estrada do mato, na zona Norte da ilha. Deste miradouro é possível observar uma paisagem de grande amplitude, onde se destaca a vista da ilha de São Jorge, que se estende no horizonte, bem como, as freguesias de Santo Amaro, Prainha do Norte e São Roque. Daqui pode observar-se algumas riquezas florestais da ilha do Pico, típicas das florestas da Laurissilva características da Macaronésia.
No caminho de acesso a este local encontra-se uma pedra de grandes dimensões à qual se designa Bomba Vulcânica, sendo a maior de que há registo (N38º27.043’/ W028º12.714’).
This cache is located near the “Miradouro da Meia encosta”.
The Miradouro da Meia Encosta is located in the forest road, in the northern area of the island. From this viewpoint you can see a landscape of great amplitude, which highlights the view of São Jorge Island, which extends the horizon, as well as, the parishes of Santo Amaro, Prainha do Norte and São Roque. It may be noted some forest wealth of the Pico Island, typical of Laurissilva forests ("laurel forest"), characteristic of Macaronesia.
On the way to access this viewpoint you can see a large stone which is called volcanic bomb, the largest on record. (N38º27.043’/ W028º12.714’)
