Welcome to Åsarna in Jämtland. Åsarna is a beautiful little village, also known as ``the gold village´´ because of all the international successes in cross country skiing on the Olympics and world championships.
Åsarna Skicenter includes a restaurant, clothes outlet, ski wax sales, post office, STF youth hostel, as well as summer and winter camping. From here you have access to the local cross country tracks. Even fishing is very popular. And why not take a bath in the river? Unfortunately the x-country-skiing museum is gone.
