The view you see above is looking downriver from the cache location, a boat landing on North Biron Drive just west of the Wood/Portage county line, and the view at this spot is spectacular in any season.
From here you can snowmobile across the Wisconsin River in the winter when the ice is thick enough, and launch a boat from the landing in the summer for fishing, water skiing, or just cruising the river. If you are brave enough, you can even access (by ice or water) Pleasure Island, that strip of land you see towards the far side of the river from this vantage point.
So if you have to spend a bit of time in the area looking for this cache, at least you'll be in the middle of the action, and you'll have a great view by the water's edge!
