Geocache Description:




This is a fairly easy multi-stage cache where the first four locations will provide you with information you can use to compute the cache location. At each stage you will find a sign and the numbers you need should be available using information from these signs.

Stage 1: Loc: N 45 31.513 W 122 43.002 A = Last three digits of the "Oregon Historical Society" reference.

Stage 2: Loc: N 45 31.525 W 122 42.974 B = In 'View to the North" there are two years listed; subtract the the years.

Stage 3: Loc: N 45 31.531 W 122 42.903 C = Cost of looking closer, cents only

Stage 4: Loc: N 45 31.494 W 122 42.984 D = How many letter in Latin name (both words) [Thank Sidney and Fay]

Cache location can be computed with the following:
N 45 6+(B-D).A+19
W 122 C-8.(B*D)-19

The final location is within an easy walking distance of the final clue location, so if you end up further away double check your math and make sure that the information from the last location is correct, there are a few potential options at this location.
The cache starts out with a little bit of swag, and an un-activated micro Happy Caching – Pig GC for FTF.
The cache is also only accessible during daylight hours when the Pittock Mansion Park is open.
