Muzeum powstalo w 1999 roku, z inicjatywy malzenstwa Eleonory i Zdzislawa Galeckich. W sklad muzeum wchodzi kuznia o powierzchni 30 m2, konstrukcji drewnianej, zrebowej, z wyposazeniem charakterystycznym dla podmiejskich kuzni z poczatku XX w. z terenu Mazowsza.
Kontynuuje ona tradycje dawnej kuzni sluzewieckiej, o 200-letnim udokumentowaniu; pisal o niej m.in. Jerzy Kasprzycki w "Zyciu Warszawy", w cyklu "Warszawskie pozegnania", w artykule pt.: "Stara Kuznia".
Wyposazenie kuzni, stanowia przedmioty i narzedzia z epoki, wykorzystywane w dawnych warsztatach kowalskich. Na terenie przed kuznia zgromadzone sa urzadzenia i maszyny rolnicze oraz ogrodnicze, które kowal wyrabial lub naprawial.
Oprócz stalej ekspozycji wnetrza, prezentowane sa czasowo rzezba i malarstwo nawiazujace tematem do charakteru muzeum.
W godzinach otwarcia Muzeum, jest czynna Czytelnia, ze zbiorem literatury dotyczacej historii sztuki, rzemiosla artystycznego, architektury i kowalstwa. W muzeum, prowadzone sa równiez, pokazy obróbki zelaza na goraco dla dzieci i mlodziezy ze szkól i przedszkoli.
Warto sie tam wybrac równiez podczas organizowanych w maju 'Nocy Muzeów', by zobaczyc pokazy kucia tradycyjnymi metodami.

[en] About the museum
The museum was founded in 1999 on the initiative of the marriage of Eleanor and Zdzislaw Galeckich. The museum shall forge an area of 30 m2, wooden structure, carcass, with the equipment characteristic of suburban forge from the early twentieth century from Mazovia. It continues the tradition of the old smithy a 200-year-old documented.
Equipment forging, are objects and tools of the era, used in the old blacksmith's workshop.
At the front of the forge is the place for equipment and agricultural machinery and gardening, which the blacksmith was making or repairing.
In addition to the permanent exhibition inside, are presented in temporary sculpture and painting, referring to the nature theme of the museum. In the museum, have also been performed, shows a hot iron treatment for children and young people from schools and kindergartens. It is worth to go there even during organized in May 'Museum Night'to see demonstrations of traditional methods of forging.
The museum is open on weekdays from noon to dusk
