L'Etang de la Chaume figure dès 1675 sur les dénombrements des seigneurs de la Chaume. De formation ancienne, il présente une particularité importante et rarissime : il repose entièrement sur du sable, d'où une qualité nutritive exceptionnelle pour l'élevage de poissons. L'étang ne s'envase jamais grâce à son courant d'eau continu. Cet endroit est idéal pour se détendre avec les espaces vertes dégagées, des tables pour le pique-nique, et la piste pétanque.
This lake features in the list of the estate of the Lords of Chaume since 1675. It is unusual because it is entirely on sand which is beneficial for fish rearing. And because water is continually flowing through, the lake never runs dry. You will find this an ideal place to relax with the open grassy spaces, the picnic benches, and the pétanque area.
