Geocache Description:

A short wooded walk from a nice lot to park. Cache is not at posted coords. My brother grew up here in Westchester along with me but what happens over time, as most of you know, a lot of people will tend to stray, many states away in his case, but eventually make their way back towards their roots.

After a few conversations on the subject, I had talked him into at least checking into some of the possible places to settle back here and to let me help show him around again as it had been a number of years since he'd been home and a lot had changed since he left. "Let me show you a few places you can rediscover", I said, without trying to offer any input on the type of house, school district, taxes, prices, etc. That'd all be up to him. So, on his first trip here to go house hunting, I decided to show him some of the northern part of the county first. We drove all through North Salem, then drove through Croton Falls. We both lived in these towns and love them so. "What's the difference?" He said. "Difference? Ok, I'll show you some more." Next we went over to Yorktown to look around, then down to Thornwood. "why these two?" he said. "Well, I wanted to show you some differences. You don't see? OK some more then." Trying to make my point. We went back up to Mohegan Lake then off to Harrison. He said, "Now you're just making me look here cause these towns each have a nice park?" "Ok, smart guy, if that's what you think, one more look around and tell me how these towns differ". I took him to Briarcliff and then to Bedford Hills, where I thought for sure he would realize this county has much to offer. There was only a minor difference here that he could see. No town he could decide to look further into at this stage. He needed more info and more comparisons. Mr. Decisive. Puzzling.... Next day I decided to set out again. Having turned up nothing yesterday, I decided to stay towards the middle of the county, leaning towards the western part more so. We started out in North Tarrytown, but quickly ran over to Cross River for more of a country feel. Still nothing. Montrose he liked, we went to Amawalk next. There was a pretty big difference there. Somers he thought a bit odd, then Katonah was our next stop. Running out of places that I liked enough to show him, I decided to give it one last effort. I took him to Larchmont, which he said had a very even and level headed feel to it, then over to Irvington for comparison. "This is our last stop before we go back to WCC to pick up your car and head home", I said. "First though, I just have to hide this tupperware in the woods while we're there so this day and all these trips wouldn't lead to me having nothing to show for it. This looks like a good spot." "Why don't you hide it over there instead?", he said. Mister Decisive. "Why?" I said. " What's the difference to you?" Puzzling..... ftf prize included
