Geocache Description:

"Go outside, get into nature and make your own discoveries!"

That is what Dr. Scott challenges his viewers to do at the end of each Dinosaur Train episode.

Is it in or is it out? In the Zoo? In the Scovill Garden? In a tree? In a statue? See if you can find the first Dinosaur Train Geocache in Illinois!

From cheetahs and camels to meerkats and monkeys, an exciting adventure awaits you at Decatur’s Scovill Zoo!

This cache is part of a series of other geocaches. The Jim Henson Company has hidden Dinosaur Train themed geocaches nationwide with the help of local PBS stations. To find the location of other Dinosaur Train themed geocaches, simply search for "Dinosaur Train" in the keyword search option. Each geocache celebrates a dinosaur featured in the Dinosaur Train Field Guide.

This geocache is the Pterandodon geocache. This animal was a carnivore from the Cretaceous. It didn't have teeth, but it may have used its beak to scoop fish out of the ocean - just like a modern-day pelican!

What is your favorite dinosaur? Be sure to tell us when signing the logbook!
