Geocache Description:


This cache is one for the Marines.

In 1847 at the 'Palacio Nacional' (commonly refered to as The Halls of Montezuma) located near Mexico City or near GC2HNYZ, the US Marines fought a battle in an effort to greatly disarm the Mexican Army. It took them 2 days to raise our flag there in victory and this battle is forever remembered in the opening line of the Marine Corps Hymn.

This cache is in a highly visible area so stealth is required. Soccer season is over so there should be a lot less muggles in the area. You will need to bring your own pencil an please put the cache back exactly as you have found it.
