Take a break here as you enter Minnesota and enjoy the view of the Mississippi River and Lock and Dam #7 in Dresbach. During certain times of the year you will see eagles, an ice village, or boats fishing below the dam along with tug boats carrying goods up and down the river. While here you can pick up information on the great state of Minnesota and take a break from running down the highway. Use exit 272 to exit to the rest area.
You will be looking for a lock and lock in a fairly (I hope) easy area. Not quite a park and grab as at times the location could be fairly busy at times. Higher rating is due to HIGH MUGGLE factor. I tried to place this in a fairly safe area for all times caching, so you don't have to worry about being away from the vehicle, but yet you can have a picnic in the area if you wish or enjoy some of the trails that are here to stretch your legs on.
