In memory of the best dog I ever had.
My name was Dozer I was a miniature Schnauzer. I went missing from this area on
June 5th 2010. I was 12 years old when I went missing. For 10 years my buddy
would take me backpacking and mountain climbing. I have had the privilege of
standing on top of Mt Hood, Mt Adams, Mt Shasta, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens and
Mt Washington. In 2001 We did the Pacific Crest Trail. In the end I had logged
12,364 miles. I loved every minuet of it.
I have rated this cache with summer in mind. During the winter this could be up to an 8 hour snowshoe trip just to get there. The road is passable to a regular car but I would encourage at least a high ground clearance vehicle. There are also several hiking trails up to Flag Point and Badger creek Wilderness has some amazing trails.
