Le sentier monte légèrement au départ, dans une végétation
classique du bord de mer. Bien dégagé, il mène au sommet de la
presqu'île où se dresse la très belle tour avec une magnifique
vue sur le golfe d'Ajaccio et sur les tours voisines de la
Parata, de Castellucciu, de Capitellu et, au sud-est, de
Castagna.
La tour est ronde et haute de 11 mètres en très bon état. Je
dirais même que c'est la plus belle avec, à ses pieds, un petit
parc bordé de murets de pierre et composés de diverses
plantations. Elle a été construite en 1608 en granit jaune. Elle
n'est plus crépie. Le crépi a été gratté lors de sa restauration
en 1970, ce qui laisse apparaître les jointures de pierre et le
cordon en briques rouge. Le cordon c'est le bandeau étroit et peu
saillant qui marque simplement, sur une façade, le niveau des
planchers.
L’idéal est de se rendre sur le site le soir (vers 20h30 en août)
afin d’y admirer les couchers de soleil sur l’archipel des Îles
Sanguinaires qui se dessine à l’extrémité nord du golfe.
On note la présence au pied de l’éminence qui porte la tour et
termine la presqu’île d’Isolella, d’un chapelet de rochers qui
émergent de l’eau bleue. Ils ont inspiré la légende des Sept
navires et ont valu à ce lieu son nom de Punta di e Sette Nave
(Pointe des sept navires). Ces écueils matérialisent sept navires
envahisseurs pétrifiés par la Vierge pour protéger la Corse.

The trail rises gently initially in vegetation classic seaside
Although cleared, it leads to the summit of the peninsula where
stands the beautiful tower with a magnificent view over the Gulf
of Ajaccio and the neighboring towers La Parata, of Castellucciu,
Capitellu and south-east, Castagna.
The tower is round and 11 meters high in very good condition. I
would say that this is the best while at her feet, a small park
bordered by stone walls and plantations of various compounds. It
was built in 1608 with granite yellow. It is no longer plastered.
The plaster has been scraped during its restoration in 1970,
which reveals the joints of stone and brick red cord. The cord is
narrow and the banner that marks simply projecting on either
cover, level floors.
The ideal is to visit the site at night (around 20:30 in August)
to admire the sunsets over the Îles Sanguinaires looming in the
northern Gulf.
Note the presence at the foot of the hill that bears the tower
and ends the peninsula Isolella, a string of rocks that emerge
from the blue water. They have inspired the legend of the Seven
ships have earned this place its name Punta di e Sette Nave (Tip
of the seven ships). These dangers materialize seven ships
invaders petrified by the Virgin to protect Corsica.
