Pískovcový lom Ježov
Základní údaje: Opuštený pískovcový stenový lom asi 1 km
severovýchodne od obce Ježov. Nachází se v nadmorské
výšce 240 až 255 m, v blízkosti silnice z Ježova
do Osvetiman.
Výmera: 0,9693 ha
Geologie, pudní pomery:
Pískovcová poloha otevrená lomem patrí k luhacovickým vrstvám
zlínského souvrství. Z tektonického hlediska patrí k racanské
jednotce magurské skupiny príkrovu vnejšího flyšového
pásma Karpat. Stárím bývají luhacovické vrstvy zarazovány zpravidla
do stredního eocénu. V sedimentární sekvenci odkryté lomovou stenou
prevažují hnedave šedé hrubozrnné kremenné pískovce,
místy s psefitickou prímesí až konglomeráty s prevažující
píscitou základní hmotou. Pískovce mají vápnitý tmel. Jeho
vyšší koncentrace místy zpevnuje horninu, jinde jsou
pískovce drolivé a kulovite až bochníkovite odvetrávají.
Nedaleko se nachází další zajímavá geologická lokalita PP
Losky s odkrytým profilem sprašových sedimentu kvartérního
stárí s fosilními pudami.
Vaše úkoly (odpovedi pošlete na e-mail v
profilu):
1. Od jaké velikosti zrn nazýváme horninu pískovcem?
2. Jaká pomucka se používá pri klasifikaci bežných
pískovcu?
3. Jednoduše definuj pískovec.
4. Vaše foto v Ježovském lomu.

Sandstone quarry Ježov
Basic data: A disused sandstone shelf quarry located north-east of
the village of Ježov, about 1 km
from the village, near the road heading from Ježov to
Osvetimany.
Altitude: 240-255 m above the sea lea level
Area: 9693 sqm
Geology, soil conditions:
A sandstone position exposed by the quarry belongs to Luhacovice
layers of the Zlín formation. Concerning the tectonics, it belongs
to the outer Carpathian flysch belt, the Racany unit of Magura
nappes. As to the geological age, Luhacovice layers are usually
classified as Middle Eocene.
In the sedimentary sequence, which has been exposed by the quarry,
the dominating sediment is brownish-grey coarse-grained
silicarenite, in some parts with rudaceous ingredients to
conglomerates with dominating arenaceous groundmass. Sandstones
contain calcareous cement. There are places where a higher
concentration of it makes the sandstone firm. In other places the
sandstone is friable and it weathers.
Nearby you can find another interesting geological location, the PP
Losky with an exposed profile of Quaternary loess sediments with
fossil soils.
